I've been to all of the Indian restaurants in my neighborhood and Tasty Curry is my favorite. It's low key with nice people, but more important is the food. Everything is great, from the tandori's to the currys. I think my favorite is the chicken jalfrezzie special. They have revolving specials and I alway look to see what it is. some of the best things I've had there have been specials. Do yourself a favor and give them a try !

Really very few authentic Indian/Pakistani food.
Great Naans and super friendly service and mouthwatering fingerlicking menu.

Me and my friend come here all the way from downtown to eat this amazing food. I am someone who likes to try new places, but this place changed that fact forever. I keep going back here now atleast once a week. I am a vegetarian and my favorite here is aloo palak which is excellent, perfectly cooked with the right amount of spices. I have tried other veggie dishes as well, all were great and rightly priced. The owners are really really nice and friendly. They even gave me and my friend a new dish to try for free, which was a great gesture on their end. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat great Indian/Pakistani food!!! Their recommendations are also right on!

Editorial Review for Tasty Curry – by Chelsea SimeWith walls painted in descriptive earth-toned scenes, diners at this curry joint might forget they're in the middle of a busy Inner Sunset strip. While visitors chit chat over a free cup of tea, friendly staffers serve up piles of tandoori-style meats, biryanis and, of course, plenty of curry for carnivores and vegetarians alike.
Don't think this will be your only chance to try the special chicken karahi, chicken jalfarzi and aloo or matar keema posted up front--the specials never change.
The ExtrasTwo words: fresh naan. Watch them hand-make it in big cylindrical ovens through the window at the front or experience the site and smell first-hand from the dining room.

Tasty Curry rocks, plain and simple. Everything is cheap yet tastes like more expensive Indian food, Chai is free and everyone is super friendly. The owner is awesome as well, he thanked me for bringing people in even though I hadn't been there in at least 6 months, he remembered me; used to go in all the time when I lived up the street. I miss this place, wish their where Indian food this good in the Mission.
Pros: Food, Service
Cons: none
Delicious, inexpensive, big portions

I've been waiting a LONG time for an Indian restaurant to finally open in my area--and suddenly we have 4 of them! Tasty Curry is by far my favorite. I was probably one of their first customers. I've introduced friends and family to the place ever since. Yes, the restaurant is small and basically decorated--but I hate funding fancy decor via the price of the food anyway. I think the portions are huge--I always have leftovers that feed me for two days afterward. I've loved every dish I've had there but my favorite is the lamb curry, chickpeas & spinach and rice with a side of sesame naan and mango chutney. My idea of heaven. I phone in my order, pick it up 10 mins later on my way to work. The staff has always always been sweet and wonderful, friendly and welcoming.
Pros: Food is delicious, prices are reasonable, food is delicious
Another great place for inexpensive Curry

My wife makes me pick some up for her when she's been out of town so she can eat it on the way from the airport! The Tika Masala is outstanding!

Tika Masala
The Tika Masala here is so good, we always order a side of just the sauce for dipping. The samosa chat is huge and very tasty.
